Day #1922 (Thu., Apr. 9, 2015) – Chicken Laying Eggs
Katie woke up around 7:30am this morning. I put “Thomas The Train” on the television in the bedroom for her. She mentioned that she hadn’t seen it in a while. Eventually we migrated to the living room where I put “Masked Magician” on the tv. She asked me this last night and repeated it again this morning: “When can I meet the Masked Magician”? Last night I think I told her that he lived in California. She combined the two and suggested that the Masked Magician take the train from California so that he could get here quickly and subsequently meet her.
When I dropped Katie off at school this morning I had three things to do: (1) Get her fresh water, (2) Remind her of her egg chalk in the backpack for “Show & Share”, and (3) Give her teacher Melanie’s contact information. Melanie will be picking her up after school today.
I went to WalGreens at noon today and they were having a sale on Easter supplies. I got a plastic chicken that walks and lays eggs (i.e.: bubble gum) as it goes for Katie. Normally $2.99 but for $1.50 now… You can see a photo of it to the left.
Melanie forgot to take Katie to dance class today. They hung out at her place instead.
I made shrimp and rice for dinner this evening. I thought Katie might like to watch the movie “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken” I saw as a kid. I think she would, but I could not find the scene inside the house quick enough before her attention span lapsed.
