Day #2410 (Tue., Aug 9, 2016) – Talking Wendy’s

2016-08-09 - DiceWe have this black dice lying around the house and didn’t know where it came from. We do now (see picture to the left). I must have got it for Katie from one of these vending machines in the mall near Kidzoo at one point.

On the way to Spy/Detective Camp at Kidzoo this morning Katie asked me “Do orphans look like us?”. I’m not sure where this question came from but it gradually morphed into a discussion about how some people are able to take a disadvantage in life and turn it into an advantage. I mentioned Dave Thomas and how he was an orphan and went on to great fame as the owner of the Wendy’s hamburger franchise. I told her how he was able to become a business success in spite of the fact of being an orphan and with all his money he was able to give back to other orphans and young children in need.

At Detective/Spy camp today Katie learned how to take fingerprints. They gave her a little kit to take home and practice with. My wife was exclaiming what a cool camp this is. Katie has never been to a camp where they get to take home such cook stuff.

My wife cut Bobby’s hair today. It is so hot outside that this is a much “cooler” look for him. My wife and Arnesa were exclaiming how guys don’t notice things. I didn’t notice it til my wife asked me if I noticed anything new.

My right eye is bothering me today. Feels like there is something in it. I borrowed some eye drops from a girl at work and that seemed to help a bit.
