Day #179 (Thu., July 1, 2010) – Little Katie’s First Canada Day
Happy Canada Day! This is little Katie’s first Canada Day…even though she is not in Canada. Maybe she will have the chance to visit one day…
My wife had to go to meet with some of the people she works with today, and my mother-in-law and little Katie went along as well. I guess that little Katie was the hit of the party. Everyone wanted to hold her and play with her. She was in a very good mood…which made things easier…
I stopped off at Trader Joe’s on the way home from work to get some supplies. Organic sweet potato, organic carrots, milk, eggs, bread, etc…
The photo to the right shows one of the two plastic butterflies (or are they flowers?) that are positioned on the Around We Go Activity Station. Little Katie loves these flowers…but they pose quite the challenge to her. She grabs them and tries to put them in her mouth, but because the plastic is rather sturdy they quickly jump back into their original shape. I’m sure that as she gets older and stronger they will finally meet their match one day.
