Day #2602 (Fri., Feb. 17, 2017) – The “Real” PJ Day At Glenwood

Katie wore her “glow in the dark” owl pajamas to Glenwood this morning. Today is the “real” pajama day.

2017-02-17 - Captain AmericaAfterward dropping Katie off I drove to Walgreens on MLK to get Bobby’s prescription for hydrocortisone cream. They had some problems figuring out his deductible so I’m wondering if I should switch back to the Walgreens on Franklin. I then took the cream back to the house and Bobby cried and cried when I left. He wanted me to sit down and play Captain America with him (see photo to the right).

There was an organized activity at the park for Helen and Eleri and “whoever”. We kept Katie away from that to avoid all the potential drama.

Email from the doctor:
Laura, tell Katie her toys were a BIG hit. Kids have taken them all home and I’m going to buys some more. Sorry about the delay; for Katie I would use the prescription hydrocortisone twice daily had for the part involving the hand, apply to hydrocortisone liberally and try to get her to sleep with gloves on to make the hydrocortisone more effective; if it’s not really getting better in 2 or 3 days someone should check it out—but it really looks like something—maybe the cold—just triggered an episode of sensitive dry skin.

Katie has a real talent for the piano. She gets frustrated with practicing but I keep telling her to keep up with it. I have never heard of someone saying that they wished they had quit playing the piano when they were children. I’ve heard tons of people say how they wished they had kept on…

Bath time for Bobby this evening. I sat on the edge of the tub while he played away. I showed him how to put his coloring sticks into a bottle full of water so he played with that for a bit.

Later this evening I drove to Trader Joe’s and Harris-Teeter for supplies. Both my wife and I are interested in “low carb” desserts so I picked up a few things after watching some YouTube videos on the subject.
