Today was a busy day of driving Katie back and forth. Bobby took his bike to school. To the right you can see a photo of Katie’s “Emotional Support Animal”!
My wife had a full day of working with her new job, so I did all the driving today. It started off with driving Katie to Vanier at 8:50 am. I then had to pick her up at Vanier at 10:30 am and drive her to the “Totum Building” near the Comox waterfront. Here she attended a lecture on “Indigenous History”.
There were supposed to be buses from Vanier to take more of Katie’s classmates to the “Indigenous History” lecture. Unfortunately, there was a “screw up”, like last year, and they never arrived. As a result, Katie was the only person from Vanier at the lecture. This gave her a chance to talk to her online English teacher about her recent grade. Unfortunately, this teacher marked her paper low, in the 70s, and Katie got a chance to talk to her and find out why. If she doesn’t get an A in English she will not be able to be on the Vanier President’s List, so it’s a big deal. She’s thinking of going and talking to her school guidance counsellor and seeing about dropping this class, or other options, moving forward.
The “Indigenous History” lecture was supposed to go till noon, but it went over till about 12:36 pm. When it was over Katie walked to the car with her English teacher, so I got a chance to meet her. I then took Katie home.
At 3:45 pm was another round of driving, with taking Katie and Bobby to their viola/violin lessons with Miss Daisy. My wife had a zoom session with Miss Daisy to monitor the kid’s progress. On the way home from the lesson the kids wanted Wendy’s, so we stopped off at the drive thru for some food, then home.
