Bobby rode his bike to school today and I picked up Katie and drove her to Vanier at 8:50 am then back home at 11:50 am. I put $5 on the passenger seat of the Camry so that she would not forget the payment for the upcoming field trip to the Air Force Museum on Tuesday.
The mountain bike ramp that I built for Bobby yesterday has too much of a drop for him. He might be able to work into it as he gets more comfortable with riding and jumping the bike, but I decided to create a little off-ramp to make it easier for him in the meantime (see photo to the right). Well, even this is a bit too much for him… It looks like he wants more of a “hill” to go up and down rather than a ramp, so I plan on building that next.
Later this afternoon I went to Dominos in Comox to get a large Hawaiian and large cheese pizza. They had a great deal with some coupons online, so both pizzas came to under $30 total! Despite the cheap price, Bobby said he liked it, but he prefers Islander pizzas the most.
My wife is staying with Donna, her boss, in Duncan this trip. She will be back to Courtenay tomorrow evening. She helped Katie with her math homework “long distance” tonight.
This evening I went to Home Depot to get two more 2x4s. Cut into 16″ lengths. Ready for the next rendition of the mountain bike ramp tomorrow.
