Day #6005 – (Mon., June 15, 2026) – Tim Horton’s “Melt”

Bobby drove his bike to school today. Katie had a full day at school. I picked her up at the “Main House” at 8:50 am and picked her up at Vanier at 3:10 pm.

Katie and I went for a drive after I picked her up. We ended up at Tim Horton’s on Guthrie as she wanted to try one of their new “Melt” sandwiches. Basically a grilled cheese, but you could have bacon if you want. She chose just the grilled cheese without bacon. She also had a bottle of Coke and a vanilla frosted donut to make it a combo meal. We also picked up a vanilla frosted donut to take home for Bobby. Today was Daddy/Daughter Chat Day #49.

This evening I went to Costco for supplies. The kids loved the watermelon that I picked up last Tuesday at Walmart, and they had HUGE ones as Costco, so I picked up one of those for the kids (see photo to the right).

Bobby is going to Miracle Beach for a field trip tomorrow so he will need a lunch. Costco blueberry muffins will make a nice tasty treat. Donna had some freeze-dried strawberries with dark chocolate, so I picked up a package of those for my wife as well (see photo to the left).

Katie has a math test on Wednesday so she’s stressing out about that. It will be nice for both kids to have a nice long summer break.

I was feeling sore from all the lifting and lugging of plywood and building all those bike ramps, but I’m feeling better now, so I might get to another one for Bobby tomorrow. I need one that is more “hill like” and perhaps another one that isn’t as high as the others.
