Bobby was not feeling well so he stayed home from school today. He was out playing with Maple when I took Katie to Vanier at 12:25 pm this afternoon. He had to take Maple back into the house as Katie was scared that she would run off. She got to show our neighbor’s dog, Nishka, the ball she has before she went inside.
Katie was excited when I dropped her off as she was planning to do her math test and forget about it! I told her that the last day of exams in college was always one of my favorite days. You realized that you didn’t need to study or cram anymore and had a couple of weeks off before the next semester. Well, alas, apparently, the teacher wanted her to take the test at lunch, while Katie thought it would be taken in class. So, she will need to take it at lunch time tomorrow, so one more day of “studying”.
As I was picking Katie up a boy was talking to her as she approached the car. Katie says that he’s “full of himself”. He kinda “asked her out for ice cream” but she declined. He said that he would bring her a donut tomorrow… Katie told me that she was hoping to avoid things like this and that she used to say that “Dad won’t let me date”. I told her that she can still use this line if she wants.

Doesn’t Batman look stressed these days (see photo to the right).
Bobby rode his bike out to the chickens this afternoon and of course the rooster attacked him. Katie says that she always wears rubber boots when she visits the coop as extra protection against the rooster. Hazy hardly comes out of the coop anymore and she is nesting. We expect to have a few baby chicks soon, so there will be that to take care of as well.
My wife took Katie to group class tonight. Bobby, who is sick, stayed home. A lady complimented Katie on her viola playing so she was super excited about that.
Bobby had a nap today so he was up late. He was playing Roblox when I stopped by his room to say hi. I teased him that he was not doing a very good game of playing “Hide & Seek” as I knew exactly where to find him.
