Bobby mentioned the other day that he was interested in going camping, so I checked out some of the equipment available on Amazon. They have a 2-4 person tent that is easy to set up, a little stove that would be permitted given the fire ban in the Comox Valley, and comfortable cots rather than sleeping on the cold hard ground. Equipment seems to be the easy part…making a judgement call about bears and cougars in the area, that’s a more difficult decision.
The kids did viola/violin practice this evening (see photo to the right).
Katie wants to do some more practice driving as her driver’s license test is coming up soon. I told her that if she is nervous about any particular location, if we get up on Sunday morning, we will have the streets to ourselves. In this way we can go “all over” and try out intersections or areas that she is feeling uncomfortable with.
On a more humorous note, during the sleepover at Esca’s house recently Zephyr traded his shoes for some baby bell cheese. His mother sent a text saying that she would like them back as he still needs them. I guess Esca was the one who made the trade. I had no idea baby bell cheese was in short supply out their way… 🙂
