Bobby is still not feeling the best today. He spent most of the day playing with Ethan on the computer. No news yet on whether there will be a continuation on the playdate with Raheem.
Katie and her mother went to the recycling depot this afternoon, then to Costco for groceries. The kids love watermelon so a Costco watermelon was a “must have” (see photo to the right).
I was thinking that the family might go to Benino’s for a gelato and play “Cards Against Humanity”, but with both my wife and Bobby having headaches, another day would be better. It’s Saturday, and it’s summer, so Benino’s is probably packed anyway. It’s probably a much better idea to go there on a week night sometime.
Driving with Katie to get her hours in is always an option, but she wanted to rest today and be “productive”. She’s been putting herself on a timer, and performing an activity when the timer goes off, so she’s quite proud of that.
The recliners in the family room have run their course. The handles that you pull to get the footrests to rise have fallen off their wires, so Katie in particular is interested in replacing them. LazyBoy’s are great of course, but very expensive. Other recliners are just as good, without the hefty pricetag. Costco has a number of recliners online, and they have free delivery, and I suspect a great warranty as well. I also shared with Katie the results of a Facebook group thread that I created a few months ago:
