Day #6075 – (Mon., Aug. 24, 2026) – Meeting Elizabeth

I took Katie to the Driftwood Mall to meet up with Elizabeth, who will be the treasurer in the Interact club at Vanier this year. They did some shopping and Katie picked up a “stress reliever” banana that you squish. A few hours later I picked Katie up at Starbucks, which is right outside the mall, near Boston Pizza.

Elizabeth expressed some interest in joining the Vanier Model UN club this upcoming year, so Katie’s rather excited that she will now know someone. Jax and Vivian have graduated and are going to College this year.

Bobby went to see Mitchell, the French boy down the road, this afternoon. He waved at me as he wizzed by on his eBike while I was finishing off mowing the paddock. They ended up at the local pool for a swim.

Katie had a number of questions this afternoon about website editing, for example, changing colors, but she eventually figured it out. You can see the new website in the photo to the right.

Tonight is my last night in Courtenay. Tomorrow night I will be in Victoria watching Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings of “The Guess Who” perform. A lot of details on the VIP offerings came in.

I will be staying at an Air B&B while in Victoria, but I must admit that it might be just as easy to drive home after the concert. Having said that, if I’m tired, and don’t feel like driving, it’s great to have a place to stay.
