Our babysitter Ramona took Katie to the playground near our pool this morning. She said that Katie met two different girls. The first girl was 4 years old and had no interest in playing with Katie. Katie was upset because she wanted to play with her. She then met a 1 year old girl who wanted to play so Katie was very happy. Ramona says that we will not have any social problems with Katie as she is very friendly.
Take a look at the photo to the right. It doesn’t take long for Katie to make the place look “lived in” once Ramona leaves for the day.
As soon as I put my head on the bed after midnight (i.e.: 12:01am on Wednesday) Katie started to squeak and cry. She was up, which means daddy was up. We played for a couple of hours til about 2am and I put her to bed. I was some tired.
There is this television show called “Up All Night” that has premiered this season, about a couple who have a new child. It doesn’t seem too funny to me…not sure if it is because of the show itself or because it strikes too close to home.
Katie pointed to the television and said “watch” today. She definitely knows what “watch” means…
This evening my wife took Katie out to our nearby pond with her trike. She would have to pick her up to cross the street but other than that she was on her trike. She doesn’t mind sitting on this trike…we thought she would be eager to run away from it.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
——————————-
1) Katie knows what the word “watch” means.
