Day #651 (Sun., Oct 16, 2011) – The Block Train
Katie brought her blocks to me this morning and pointed out the various animals and characters on them an mentioned them by name. She kept calling a “Bell” a “Drum” so I showed her a YouTube video with a bell so she would be able to tell the difference.
We had another Skype session with my mother this morning but Katie was really tired. She did manage to dance a bit for mom but it was soon time to put her to bed.
Katie assembled a block train on the window sill this evening (see photo to the right).
I made some pumpkin pancakes for Katie this evening. We got the mix from Trader Joe’s…it comes out only at this time of the year. Katie loves them.
Katie was watching her Oswald DVD in the living room this evening. There is this one portion of the show in which a little duckling is looking for her mother. Katie will turn around and look at me and cry a bit. I guess she understands that the mother is lost?
