Day #2985 (Fri., Mar. 9, 2018) – Red Candy Melts
I took both Katie and Helen to Glenwood this morning. As I was leaving the school parking lot my wife texted me that Bobby was up, so I promptly drove home to give him the dinosaur action set (see photo to the left) that I bought for him at Walmart last month. We want to give him his birthday presents today as tomorrow will be so jam packed with stuff, and he will have a chance to play with them by himself before all the kids arrive tomorrow.
We gave yet another birthday gift to Bobby this evening. Katie gave this one to Bobby, a truck with two dinosaurs, that I picked up for $5 at Wal-Mart.
I drove all around Chapel Hill and Durham looking for red candy melts for Arnesa so that she could adorn Bobby’s birthday cake. They were out of them at the Walmart in Pittsboro. Michael’s in Durham would not let me in (even though it was before the 9pm closing). Party City was also out of red party melts. Luckily the Walmart in Durham had them, so I got two packages and promptly drove them over to Arnesa’s house (the first time I got a chance to see her new house).
Walmart also had a huge dinosaur pinata but we decided against getting it.
