There is a storm coming to our area. It was supposed to be here early afternoon, but the forecast now says that it will arrive at 6:30pm, a couple of hours from now… There is a threat of tornadoes. My wife parked the van under the crawlspace. My poor ole’ 1995 Camry, as it is a $2000 car (what we paid for it anyway), it out in the elements to brave the storm. It’s survived a lot in the 25+ years, let’s see how it fairs with this…
In the end it was a dud… No tornadoes, just a bit of rain!
I was reading an article on the “Tiger Mom”. Once she dropped her kids off at college she said “Well, I’ll get out of your hair now”. She realized that if they weren’t situated in the right direction now, they never would be. Funny thing is, as tough as she was, the kids say that they would bring up their kids in exactly the same manner.
