Day #5629 – (Wed., June 4, 2025) – Another Birthday Invite!
Both kids went to school today. There are only a few weeks left till school is over. If we were still in the US I think this would be the last week of school. Soon they will be off to Lithuania!
Our apples are growing (see photo to the right)!
I see that both the electric bike and the Cricut system “graduation gifts” have been shipped. If they come here next week the kids will have a couple of weeks to enjoy them before their trip to Lithuania.
I picked Bobby up at Huband after school today and he was very excited that he got yet another birthday party invite!
My wife has some library books reserved so after picking Katie up we went to the downtown Courtenay library to pick them up.
Next up was Walmart so daddy could get from French’s mustard. Katie stayed in the car. The days are getting hot here now, I should have left the air con running so she would not overheat. Katie told me that the heat bothers her more than the cold…that’s exactly what my father used to say. I actually like the heat, so I guess this is one area that Katie and I differ.
This evening Katie spent 20-30 minutes studying electricity and electrons for class tomorrow even though she didn’t have to! It was such a simple task but it let her understand it and she feels confident now. She also spent 20 minutes on the treadmill (most of it constant jogging) while watching videos about electrons and such!
