The family is still struggling with whatever they “got” in Europe.
Katie has started her new journal (see photo to the right)! She’s so excited!
Katie’s laptop died and she is looking for a charger. My wife ordered one from Amazon but it will be here on Sunday. I have some chargers, but nothing compatible with the DELL that Katie needs. I threw out all the laptop chargers with the old broken down laptops that I had in Chapel Hill. Remember how Bobby and I spent all that time “smashing” them on the concrete walkway up to the front door?
Remember Dave? They guy who used to live in the “Barn Suite”. Well, my wife had a letter for him and in his response he inquired as to whether he can move back… 🙂 He had such a sweet deal here via Maureen and will probably not find anything close to that in the Comox Valley.
My wife sent me a number of emails of blog post updates, so I’m gradually working this new content into this blog.
I finally slept until 7:30 am (as opposed to 5:00 am). Both kids were already up when I woke up, apparently Bobby got up at 4 am… He made ants on a stick for himself for breakfast. Katie and I took Maple for a walk. On the way back, I fed the chickens and cleaned their water. The rooster went crazy flapping and screaming…… We got a letter to the former renter and when I let him know about it, he asked me if we would rent the barn suite to him!?!?
I’m making progress in unpacking suitcases and getting laundry done, but there is still work to be done. I put Bobby to bed at 1:00 PM and he slept until 4 PM – hopefully, he’ll sleep through the night. We are still struggling with the jetlag.
Katie wanted spaghetti for dinner, so she helped to cook it. After dinner we went for a walk with Maple again.
