Day #799 (Mon., Mar. 12, 2012) – “Good Night Sweetheart”

Ramona took Katie to the park for three hours this afternoon. As I was driving home this evening Ramona was leaving for the day. Katie saw me get out of the car from our bedroom window and ran downstairs to see me. Sometimes she doesn’t even hold onto the wall of the stairs…
I had a blistering headache when I came home from work this evening so I laid down for a bit to rest my eyes. Katie decided that she would bring me her sleeping sacks and even a diaper…basically the whole set of stuff that she needs when she goes to bed. She then said “Good Night Daddy Sweet Dreams” and gave me a kiss. Then she tried to shut the light off. She said this many, many times but one of the times she said “Good Night Sweetheart”. Where does she learn this stuff?
When I got up from my nap Katie was getting a box of “goodies” out of our chest of drawers. The one item she found the most fascinating was a little ball of yarn. She would throw it as me and say “Catch”. She then started to unravel it and took one end of the yarn and marching out to the living room said “Come Here Ball”.
It’s 8:45pm and Katie is quiet in her nursery. Let’s hope she is done for the night…
