Today is little Bobby’s first Father’s Day. Katie was all excited when I got up this morning. In the kitchen was my automatic picture frame with a Happy Father’s Day card from her (see photo to the right). I had actually set up the automatic frame and put it in the kitchen last night…but the card was new.
This morning I did runs to both WholeFoods and Trader Joe’s for supplies. Stephen and Gunther came over while I was away to play in our pool. Katie took out the inflatable toys I got on Friday and gave them a workout.
Little Bobby got to have his first bath in the big bathtub this afternoon. In fact, my wife put little Bobby and Katie in together. I guess they had a blast.
For Sunday dinner this evening we had lasagna. I’ve been trying to coax Katie into saying the evening prayer but she is still a bit reluctant. She came up with a question this evening. “What is your favorite drink”? I said beer…especially on hot days like we have been having lately.
After dinner this evening we went to University Mall for a walk but it was closed. It closes early on Sunday. As a result we went to Harris Teeter. While walking around we eyed some “Klondike Bars” and ate them in the car.
On the drive home we stopped by the church/preschool where the lady left the child in the bus. The child survived…but the school has been closed down permanently.
This evening I got the Jumperoo out of the shed and little Bobby seemed to really like all the new sights and sounds. It will take him a while to learn how to jump up and down in it.
