Day #2792 (Mon., Aug. 28, 2017) – First Day Of School
Katie was up with a headache in the middle of the night. She never has headaches. My wife gave her some medicine which seemed to work.
Today is her first day of school as a first grader and although we took her, she told her teachers at midday that she felt sick. She said that the teachers would not let her go see the nurse, but in fact the nurse came to see her (which we were to later learn via an email exchange).
With all this school drama we needed a bit of happiness this evening so I gave Bobby the “Transformers Set” that came over the weekend (see photo to the right). I thought Bobby would be all over the fire truck but it appears that he likes the police car the best.
Mike and Jui-Lan came over to talk about our alarm system this evening. They are thinking of getting a Simplisafe system just like we have and wanted to know more about it.
Today is the first day of the Amazon/Whole Foods merger. I went to Whole Foods and saw that they have lowered the prices of some items, like bananas and almond butter. They were also selling Echo units near the cherries.
