I drove Katie to Vanier this morning but Bobby is home sick. I swung by Vanier to pick Katie up just before noon and drove her home. We went for a bit of a drive afterward and ended up at Starbucks. We even drove to Goose Spit where I got some nice video snippets of the Snowbirds jets in formation overhead (see photo to the right)! I guess you could call this a rather spectacular Daddy/Daughter Chat #47.
This afternoon was viola/violin practice with Miss Daisy! Since Bobby is sick, I drove Katie out by herself and stayed with Katie during the lesson. We got to talking about the package of “6 small cereal boxes” we used to get as kids. Miss Daisy said that her favorite was Froot Loops as they were always in hotels that she stayed at with her mom on tour.
After Miss Daisy I drove Katie to the DQ so she could get a chocolate dipped cone, a favorite childhood memory of hers she said. We then drove back to Wendy’s so that she could get a “Single Burger Combo” for herself and Bobby to take home.
