This afternoon I took Bobby out for Daddy/Son Day #105. Here’s what we did:
Last week I bought a Kellogg’s Fun Pack (cereal variety pack) along with some Juicy Fruit gum and a quart of 2% milk. We went to Anderton Park in Comox to sit at the picnic tables and enjoy them (see Bobby to the left). I helped Bobby out and by the end of our outing they were all gone! After cereal Bobby enjoyed the swings for a bit.
Bobby’s bike needed to have the tire pumped up for the Huband bike day this upcoming Tuesday and Wednesday. I thought of taking it to a bike shop, then stopped off at a gas station and saw that they wanted $2.50 to use their air compressor. A better solution, and the one we took, was to go to Walmart and get a new pump. The other two we had are broken. This one did the trick and I pumped up Bobby’s bike tires so he’s ready to go for Tuesday.
After Walmart we stopped off at Archie’s Entertainment to check out them out. This is the first weekend they are open. We paid $20 for a pass, tried out some of the arcade games and then came home. It was “okay” but Bobby said that there were not enough games that he was really interested in. I wonder at those prices how long they will be in business? Having said that, everything is expensive these days…
This afternoon Katie and her mom went to the Anderton Nursery. They bought a hanging tomato basket, two cucumber plants, a bell pepper, herbs, and some seeds.
This was the day that was…
