The bike valve extensions that came on Friday work great, at least to the extent that I can put them on the inner tube valve in order to inflate the tire (see photo to the left). Unfortunately, it appears that there is a hole in the tube itself as I can hear air entering the tube, but a hissing sound coming out. I will need to bundle the bike up and take it to Black’s Cycle in Comox as before so that they can fit it with another inner tube. I would normally handle this job myself, but this back tire has a motor and gears and I would just as soon have the experts mess with it. For some reason Black’s Cycle, and other cycle shops in the area, are closed on Monday (what’s up with that?), so I will need to take it on Tuesday. Hopefully they will not be too busy to fix it. If so, I wonder if a tip will help?
Bobby wanted to take his bike to school tomorrow but I will drive him instead. I will take him right up to the school so that he will have less walking to do on his sore ankle. Apparently I need to go to the end of the buildings to let him out, and he will need to go around the building to get to his class? The guard might ask me to go to a parking spot but I don’t really need to park…just let him out…
Katie spent all day doing practice quizzes for the math test she will be having tomorrow. She did take a break to wander out and visit the chickens with her mother, but our rooster, sensing fear, soon attacked her. Katie has declared war on “Mr. Rooster”, whatever that means…
