Day #5991 – (Mon., June 1, 2026) – Dosirak!

With Bobby’s eBike needing a new tire I drove him to school today. I dropped him off at the end of the building and he had to walk to class.

After dropping Katie off at school at 12:20 pm this afternoon I swung back home for a Zoom call with the therapist who performed the autism assessment on Katie. She had some follow up questions for my wife and I. Lots of direct and specific questions. I recorded the conversation for Katie. I had to leave 10 minutes before the meeting ended so that I could pick up Bobby at Huband. He was there waiting for me, talking to Franklin, when I rolled up. Franklin is apparently the boy who punched Bobby last year, but Bobby says he’s trying to be a friend. I guess he has a hard life as his father is the type who is trying to “impress” people.

After picking up Bobby he expressed a desire for boba, so we went to get Katie and all three of us drove to Dosirak (see photo to the right). The Korean teen who waited onus told us that Dosirak is the Korean word for “Box Lunch”. This effectively became a combined Daddy/Daughter Chat #48 and Daddy/Son Chat #31. They are not usually combined, but it has occurred before. After getting boba (see photo to the right), we went to Wendy’s for a takeout, then home.

Katie thinks that she did well on her math test today, so she’s super excited about that. She’s also super excited about the fact that with the follow up questions it looks like she “potentially” has autism! The therapist didn’t confirm yes, but it looks very likely as they need to have this documentation for the province.
