Bobby drove his eBike to school today. I took Katie to Vanier at 8:50 am.

I picked up Katie shortly after lunch at Vanier today as she was having an Interact meeting. In this meeting she presented a check to the BCSPCA.
When Bobby got home from school today we went to Canadian Tire to check out the bikes for Daddy/Son Day #106! Bobby fell in love with the 26″ black/red bike that I thought he would, and actually took it for a drive (see photo to the left). The balls of his feet touched the ground when he was standing still, so the size is perfect!
Brin was the sales associate who waited on us, the same girl that I talked to yesterday. She told me that there was no return on bikes, but within 30-days if there were any problems or if the bike needed adjustments, just bring it back and they would do it for free.
There was another bike that was a much better deal, an $800 bike and marked down to $399, but it was grey, not black/red, so he passed on it. I told him that if he was not 100% sure that this was the bike for him, we could just wait and look around a bit more. No need. He was done. We picked up a new combination lock on the way out, a lollipop for him and his sister and we were off…
When we got home Bobby and Katie took their bikes on the trail behind our house while my wife took Maple on a walk.
I told Katie to try out Bobby’s bike and see what she thinks. If it’s a big improvement, and she wants one, we can get one for her as well.
We received a notice this evening that the CHCCS Board of Education voted 7-0 to close Glenwood Elementary School effective for the 2027-28 school year.
