I dropped off the three McDonald’s strawberry pies that manager Marvie gave me last night. At first Bobby said he didn’t like them, but then said that they smelled good, so he took one. No news update on what he thought after first taste!
I took Katie to the orthodontist this afternoon for a 12:45 pm appointment. The last appointment was rather quick, so I just waited in the parking lot. This appointment was not to be that quick, in fact, it was about an hour long! Oh well, this is supposedly the last appointment of this kind. The next time she sees the orthodontist the braces will come off. Katie was expressing how she is worried her teeth won’t be white, so she might try some of those whitening strips that you can buy on Amazon.
Katie got her letter today, so we can start making appointments with Amy again! Amy had her upstairs bathroom flood all over her office the last time we made an appointment, so hopefully it has been repaired by now. If not, I suppose that we could always have a Zoom meeting. Armed with this letter Katie will get THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS of appointments for free!
I went to Dollarama this evening and saw some of the “Popeye Candy Sticks” (see photo to the right) that Bobby loved so much when we went on our trip to the hotel in Oyster Bay last October. So, I picked up a package of them for Bobby to enjoy. If Katie likes them to, they can share. Same thing that I used to have when I was a kid, but back then they used to call them “Candy Cigarettes”.
This evening Katie and I went for a drive at Crown Isle for an hour. She was thinking of driving the car home, but decided not to. I told her that I would suggest we go out early on Sunday and drive all over the Comox Valley as there will be relatively no cars around. She will get all kinds of experience on all kinds of roadways and intersections. This will give her confidence for these same locations during daytime hours when cars will be around.
