My wife went to work at the Comox Valley Hospital down the street between 7 am – 3 pm. She will be working these hours Monday to Wednesday as well, then she is taking Katie to Vancouver to check out the UBC campus.
My wife wants to work at the Comox Valley Hospital to see how thing work on the inside. Today she met with another evaluation consultant that graduated from UNC. He works for the public health department. A side benefit is that she gets paid 1.5x her regular salary.
This afternoon the kids and I got together and watched the FIFA World Cup Final match between Spain and Argentina on the main television in the family room. None of us were too familiar with the rules, so we were not sure when time would run out. In addition, we had plenty of laughs over the antics of those who felt they had been fouled…all the screaming and yelling on the ground… The kids got into the potato chips and “Cookies & Cream” chocolate bar I purchased for Katie last night (see photo to the right).
I finally got around to installing the lock on Katie’s bedroom door. Fortunately this one didn’t give me as much problems as putting the one on Bobby’s bedroom door did.
Katie printed out a lot more of the “Cards Against Humanity” cards she made up, so the kids and I played a bit of that this evening.
I went to McDonalds for a coffee late at night and they gave me two free chocolate chip muffins to take home to the kids!
Today was an eventful day in the “coop”. All four hens, for the first time ever, laid an egg!
