Early this morning I dug up an old photo of Katie (i.e.: Winston Churchill) when she was 3 months old. Comparing this photo with the photo of little Bobby now you can clearly see the resemblance. In fact, they look like the same person.
Both yesterday and today it sounded like little Bobby said “Hi” to me… Could this be his first word?
I went to Michael’s this morning and picked up a nice white frame for the “Birds” picture that Katie drew. I also picked her up a large artist pad of 11×17″ paper. She enjoys painting on large sheets of paper since the Art Camp.
Katie and I tried the California Sushi Rolls that I got at Trader Joe’s yesterday (see photo to the right). She ate one…but it was not her favorite. She wanted to try the wasabi but I talked her out of it…way too hot for her pallet.
My wife signed up Katie for an online website to help her learn her letters. It is called ABCmouse.com. You have to pay for it, but the good thing is you don’t have to watch those annoying ads, plus, it’s easier to navigate for kids meaning you don’t have to go help Katie reset and find this or that or “whatever”.
We still have not heard back from Glenwood School so my wife contacted Susan for information regarding the new school year. They are going to have a playdate session for the parents and kids the day before school starts. Susan showed us where their website has a shopping list of supplies:
01) Bath towel (for rest time)
02) change of clothes in Ziploc bag with child’s name
03) backpack (not on rollers)
04) 1-24 pack of crayons (Crayola)
05) 2-Six pack of Elmer’s Glue Sticks
06) 1-plastic pocket folder
07) 1-box of tissues
08) 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
09) 1-Primary Journals (it says K-2 on the front, is marbled, and the kind with a space for drawing at the top)
10) 1-Composition Book
11) 1 plastic folder with velcro or snap (can be found at Target, Staples)
