Day #2376 (Wed., July 6, 2016) – Scream Button
Cameron is back. She had a nice tan as she went to the beach for her vacation and Katie was especially excited to see her. She’s almost like a big sister to Katie and Katie certainly loved people and company.
On the way home from work this evening I stopped off at the Dollar Store and picked up some sandpaper. I have tons of it downstairs somewhere but “where”. I need this sandpaper to smooth down the finish on the sign I’m putting out on the mailbox. The stains that I had purchased for the lettering were not working as well as we had hoped and we’re going to go with a more natural look on the lettering. At $1 for the sandpaper you certainly can’t go wrong in stocking up.
While at the Dollar Store I picked up a couple of presents for Katie and Bobby. I got Katie a cardboard princess castle and for Bobby I got a “Scream” button (see photo to the left). As I entered the house I said “Special Present”…something that I used to always utter to Katie when I had picked up some special treat for her.
Bobby in particular loved the “Scream” button that I got for him. When he clicked it I would pretend to be scared and he chuckled with delight.
Bobby downed a bowl of oatmeal and 3.5 jars of baby food when I fed him this evening. All of a sudden 2.5 jars of baby food came up. His little stomach could not hold it down even though he loved eating it as he watched a video of “Spoonful of Sugar” from Mary Poppins.
