Katie mowed the pasture yesterday (see photo to the left). Unfortunately the grass was so tall she will need to go over it again to make it trimmed and tidy! I had the same problem from time-to-time when I was mowing the motel grass growing up.
I drove Bobby to school this morning. He was a bit worried as he will be meeting his penpal at another school today. His teacher, Mrs. Hudson, teaches at another school and this is where Bobby’s penpal goes to school. Apparently they have written about three letters back and forth. Bobby’s mother is going to take him to the new school with a few of his classmates later in the day and then drop them off afterward. Bobby took his lunch with him and he will eat with his penpal as well.
I picked Katie up at 11:40 at the main house and drove her to Vanier and then picked her up at 3:10 this afternoon when school was done. She had to track down the vice principal to get him to sign off on the volunteer hours she had this year. There was a bit of question in regards to how many actual hours, so it wasn’t as straightforward as one would expect.
After picking Katie up we went for a drive then back home.
I talked to Bobby this evening and he was telling me how his penpal Amadeo and how he has a friend Graham. He enjoyed meeting Amadeo so much that there is already talk of organizing some sort of a playdate.
Bobby also mentioned how he wants to build some jumps in the 2nd pasture this summer so he can give his new mountain bike a workout. We talked about making plywood jumps and perhaps evening buying some from Amazon. We also talked about other obstacles like water jumps and having his friends over this summer to race their bikes around this new track.
