The apple tree in our back yard is starting to bear fruit (see photo to the right). It won’t be long before we will be picking it!
Today is the last day of my wife’s work at the Comox Valley Hospital. She worked from 8 am to 4 pm today for a change. Today she wheeled patients in and out of the colonoscopy rooms. The director is having something different catered each day for lunch…today was Chinese food.
The plan for this afternoon was that Kayla, Katie’s driving instructor, would take us around and give me pointers on how to continue on with the teaching process as she moves toward having her driving test at the end of the year. Well, Katie and I met her at the end of the driveway at 2:15 pm, but she forgot to tell us that she had a change of plans. She wanted to take Katie out for some more lessons by herself, and I would go on this drive with them at some later point. So, off they went, and I went back inside…
We are out of milk so I picked up two more gallons today. I asked Bobby if he was drinking all the milk and he said no, it was Katie. Katie loves her cereal, and between the healthy option “Cheerios” and the decadent option “Lucky Charms”, the milk soon goes. Oh, and I asked Bobby what his favorite cereal is and “Lucky Charms” won his vote as well.
This evening the kids and I played “Cards Against Humanity” while my wife took a bath. I won! The winning card was something like “These two things go together”, and I put down “The best day of my life” and “World War 3”, or something like that. The kids got a laugh, and I won the game… 🙂
My wife and Katie are off to Vancouver tomorrow morning. The ferry leaves from Nanaimo at 11:30 am. I told Bobby that I would get him some Islander Pizza tomorrow, which is his favorite!
