Day #6047 – (Mon., Jul. 27, 2026) – Blackberry Bushes!

Guess who’s glad to have Katie back? (see photo to the right).

I’m missing some info from last year’s trip to Lithuania. I was wondering why, but I realize that the family got quite busy towards the end and stopped sending me daily updates. When they got back, they picked up an “European Bug” of some kind and were sick for a few days, and when they were well enough to update me, I didn’t circle back and get this info. Well, I’m rectifying that now. Katie is sending me videos of last year’s trip, and I’m gradually getting little facts here and there to fill in the blog posts. I want this blog to be as comprehensive for each day of the kid’s life as it can be as a record that they can look back to as they get older.

I took the kids to their viola/violin lessons with Daisy at 2:15 pm this afternoon. We arrived at 2:45 and I dropped them off and went to the post office at London Drugs to mail a letter for my wife. Katie’s current lesson is 45 minutes, and Bobby’s current lesson is 30 minutes (soon to be upped to 45 minutes), so I circled back to pick them up at 5 pm.

On the way home we noticed a huge row of blackberry bushes on the road that leads to Daisy’s house. Bobby wanted to get out and pick some, but both Katie and I were tired. No problem, we have blackberry bushes at home near the chicken coop so he picked up some there while my wife let the chickens out for their daily run.

My wife thinks that she might need to get a new iPhone as the one she has now is outdated. I suggested she contact Dzenen, Arnesa’s husband. He always buys his phones from Amazon and I’m sure he would help her figure out what to buy, and how to set it up if she runs into problems.
