I took Katie to our family doctor for a 11 am meeting this morning. He agreed to up her dosage, which was nice. He wants to see us in two weeks so we can evaluate. They have quite the contrasting receptionists there. The younger one is one of the sweetest receptionists there is and the other one is, well, not that! I told the young one once that her sweet disposition made my day and she said that my saying that made her day. The “other one” got on Katie’s bad side, and none of us in this family care for her. My wife even said that she is thinking of reporting her to the office manager.
Katie’s meds were ready at Courtenay Pharmacy just after noon, so I swung by to pick them up and two more for my wife.
This evening Katie and I went to get groceries at the Superstore. What did we get there this evening? Ice cream was a big want, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Katie even picked up some sherbert. Hamburgers were also on the list and Katie actually made a couple of burgers this evening (see photo to the right). Bobby even liked them! She’s brushing up on her cooking skills in preparation to the cooking she will be doing at UBC!
I really don’t care for the Real Canadian Superstore for a number of reasons and I have one more as of tonight…their floor. For some reason it seems to be more slippery than other floors elsewhere and I almost threw my leg out again.
Now that we have vanilla ice cream in the house Bobby might be making blackberry shakes due to the blackberry bushes that we have near the chicken coop. I planted that idea in his mind the other day… 🙂
We really need to get out and mow that lawn. Despite my wobbly leg, I might be able to do the flat surfaces. Bobby and/or Katie could always do the hill in front of our property!
