We did a Skype with my mother this morning. We plan to do another one tomorrow, Easter morning, when Katie hunts for her Easter eggs, but things don’t always work out as we anticipate. Just in case we miss the opportunity we thought that we would do one today as well.
I had a nap this afternoon and when I awoke my wife and Katie were gone. They were out for a stroll along the lake. I guess they came across a dog and Katie enjoyed patting it. When they came back Katie crawled up on the bed to see me. She snuggled next to me and we watched a bit of cartoons…she is becoming more affectionate as she gets older.
Katie has very dry skin. My wife bought some creams and lotions for her (see photo to the right) and they are doing wonders. We also give Katie oatmeal baths from time-to-time which also helps.
This evening there was a Lawrence Welk Easter Special on television…a compilation of all the Easter clips over the years. Katie sat on my lap as we watched it. She liked the part where Sally and Sandi dressed up as Easter bunnies and sang “Peter Cotton Tail“. Half way she started to tap me on the stomach and said “pat”. My wife told me that his was exactly what she did to the dog this afternoon.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
