It was a rough night for my wife. Katie was up at 2am and 4:20am. We think that a molar is coming through and Katie is teething…that is why she has been so fussy lately.
My wife and I took Katie to a Strawberry Farm in Apex this afternoon (i.e. “Buckwheat Farm”). You can see a photo to the right. They had a goat and a couple of horses to pet. We picked a big box of strawberries for $8.10 and both my wife and I got some homemade strawberry ice cream for $2.00 each. We let Katie have some ice cream off our spoons, but she didn’t care for it too much.
Katie said “Shirt” this evening and poked me in the chest. She then proceeded to grab my nose (with quite the grip I might add…I can see why she was able to squish all those berries at the farm) and scratched me. She later brought by a hankerchief and we pretended to blow our noses.
Sometimes the only way to get Katie to eat is to give her a good dose of Lawrence Welk. We happened to play the version of Oh Johnny by Peggy Lennon and she started to mimic her when he does her “hiccup” sound…
