This morning my wife and I bundled up Katie and went to A.C. Moore’s to get a frame for the Bluenose Oil Painting I sent from Nova Scotia. First we stopped off at the gas station to get a 50% off coupon from the Sunday newspaper.
We also stopped off at Home Depot to get some spare keys made for my wife’s car. We were hoping for some popcorn for Katie but the guy didn’t have his stand set up. Katie did get a nice flower from the lady who was working in the plants area.
For dinner this evening we had a hankering for donairs so after trying to figure what restaurants served them we drove up to Pop’s Pizzeria & Ristorante for a couple of gyro platters. Katie loves the meat. She saw round objects in the vending machines and thinking they were balls had me get her one. After trying to convince her they were not balls I got her one. She started to throw it around the restaurant but it didn’t bounce well. On the drive home she took a bite out of it. Not liking the taste she gave it to my wife.
Katie got into the scissors this evening and cut off some of her hair (see photo to the right). We keep telling her that she is only to cut paper and needs to come and ask mommy and daddy before cutting anything. Guess that message hasn’t “stuck” just yet.
Katie helped my wife with the laundry this evening. She put all her dresses on the hangers and then hanged them in her closet. She also put all her books back in their place. She’s becoming quite the helper. Plus this…
Katie: “Mommy, I am decorating my bed with the stickers. Also, my bed got some pee on it. ”
Mommy: “How come you forget to go potty?”
Katie: “Because I am busy working”
Mommy: “Oh, Katie, now I need to change your bed”
Katie: “Don’t worry, Mommy, I’ll help”
