Day #6036 – (Thu., Jul. 16, 2026) – RC Ford F-150 Truck!

Katie was scheduled to have a meeting with Amy at 2 pm today but her upstairs bathroom flooded her office below, so it’s in a state of disrepair!  She offered to do a zoom meeting but Katie opted to wait till she got her office back.  Next week she is in Vancouver with her mother, so it will probably be the week after that.  Her husband just purchased a Service Master franchise, so the irony is now he will have something to repair… 🙁

Our rooster bit my wife today.

I decided to surprise Bobby with Daddy/Son Day #110 today! First off, I had to run some errands, like dropping Purolator packages off at Staples, but I had him come along! After that, the “Surprise”! What was it? We went to Walmart where I let him pick out a Lego Technic’s car. He mentioned the other day that he thought it might have been more fun if we got the original version rather than Chinese “knock offs”. Well, today is the day!

As it turns out, there was a surprise in order for me. He said that he really didn’t want to play with this anymore, and when I asked my wife later she said that she thought we were getting the original Lego Technic’s cars, so “whatever”. I asked Bobby if he wanted something else, and after looking things like various RC cars over, he decided to leave and wait and think about this some more. Well, we were almost at the checkouts when he changed his mind. He wanted to get the BIG RC Ford F-150 truck (see photo to the left), so back we went to pick it up.

As we drove by “Booster Juice” Bobby mentioned that he wanted to try it sometime, so, today is the day (see photo to the right)! It is Daddy/Son Day after all! He picked up a “Funky Monkey”, and back in the car said it was okay, but not great. Bobby also expressed an interest in a Tim Horton’s grilled cheese sandwich with bacon, so we picked up one of those next.

Back home we had to charge the car, but soon Bobby was out playing with it. Unfortunately one of the wheels is off center, so it veer’s to one side a bit, so we’ll have to fix that.

The kids took turns giving each other hentai designs on their arms.

The kids decorated the cookies that they made yesterday. Bobby had one as he watched the Netflix series “Airbender”.

Just before midnight, after returning from getting a black coffee from McDonalds, I took the eTrike out for another ride! I bought a helmet at Canadian Tire the other day. The headlight was on and I used rider-assist mode #1 for a leisurely ride down the end of our street and back. I’m gradually getting used to sitting on a bicycle seat again, and balancing a bike. I used to have to get used to the bike every spring after a long winter when I was a kid, this is just after a much longer hiatus.
